Yogyakarta, August 4, 2026 – A research team from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has found that clinical hypnosis has the potential to serve as an effective complementary intervention in the management of various chronic diseases. The findings were obtained through a scoping review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and have been published in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis.

Yogyakarta, August 6, 2026 – A recent study published in the international journal Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour provides a comprehensive evaluation of the reliability of the Driving Cognitions Questionnaire (DCQ), a psychological instrument specifically designed to assess cognitive aspects associated with driving fear and anxiety.

The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a training session on the use of Internet of Things (IoT)-based waste scales on Tuesday (July 28) in Room B-112, Faculty of Psychology UGM. The activity was part of the Sustainability Campus Action (SCA) program and the UGM Waste Management Task Force’s initiative to standardize waste generation measurement across all faculties and work units within the university. Yogyakarta, July 8, 2026 – A research team from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), has successfully developed and validated a new paradigm for measuring working memory control. The findings, published in the international journal Cognitive Processing, offer a more comprehensive approach to understanding a key cognitive ability that plays an essential role in learning, decision-making, and problem-solving.

The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through its Information and Technology Development Unit (UIPTB), organized Tech in Training on Monday (June 15) and Thursday (June 18). The program was attended by 23 participants, consisting of students and alumni, at Room B-104, Faculty of Psychology UGM.

Born and raised in Yogyakarta, Analisa initially dreamed of majoring in Communication Studies. Her interest in psychology grew from her love of reading, particularly The Lost Boy by Charlie Flotman, a story about a psychologist supporting a child with autism. Through the book, she discovered a connection between her passion for communication and her desire to help others, ultimately leading her to pursue her studies at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada has officially received the transfer of Economic Rights for the AJT Cognitive Test from PT Melintas Cakrawala Indonesia (MCI) through a signing ceremony held on Thursday (7/5) in Room D-506 of the Faculty of Psychology UGM.
