The Center for Life-Span Development (CLSD) at the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Faculty of Psychology opened its International Summer Course on Monday (6/7). Held under the theme “Child and Adolescent in the Digital Age: Safety, Health, and Well-Being,” the program brought together academics from Indonesia and abroad to discuss the opportunities and challenges surrounding child and adolescent development amid the rapid expansion of digital technology.

The Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH) at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), opened the 10th International Short Course on Psychology (ISCP) in person at Hall D of the UGM Faculty of Psychology on Tuesday (1/9). UGM Psychologists Advocate for Standardized Mental Health Crisis Services in Indonesian Universities
Yogyakarta, August 7, 2026 – The rising number of mental health crises in higher education settings, ranging from self-harm urges to suicidal ideation, highlights the urgent need for a more standardized crisis response system, particularly within universities. Addressing this challenge, a research team from the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) examined psychologists’ experiences in managing mental health crises at Indonesian universities.
The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) equipped its administrative staff with the knowledge and skills to serve as Safe Adults and First Aiders for colleagues and students in need of initial psychological support. Organized through a collaboration between the Faculty's Health Promoting University (HPU) program and the Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH), the training was held in Room D-402, Faculty of Psychology UGM, on Friday (July 24).
