The rise of social media has changed the way the public expresses its assessment of the performance of public institutions. Negative opinions circulating on social media not only pose challenges to organizational reputation but may also influence the attitudes, motivation, and behavior of public servants in carrying out their duties.

The Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP), Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), organized the International Summer Course CICP 2026 from August 3–8, 2026. Under the theme “Understanding Solidarity in the Global South: Cultural and Psychological Perspectives,” the program explored the formation of solidarity within Global South communities through social and cultural psychology perspectives.

The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and the Gadjah Mada Psychology Alumni Association (KAPSIGAMA) Class of 1986 collaborated with Martha Tilaar Group to organize Beautypreneurship with Martha Tilaar & Psychology ’86 Discovery Fair on Thursday (August 27). The event was part of the Glow Economy: Beautypreneurs Take the Lead roadshow and marked four decades of togetherness among UGM Psychology alumni from the Class of 1986.

The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) officially sent off students from Batch IV and Batch V of the Professional Psychology Study Program to undertake the General Psychologist Professional Psychology Services (Layanan Psikologi Profesi Psikolog Umum or LPPPU) on Thursday (20/8). Before providing psychological services in the community, the students received briefings on child protection and alternative psychological interventions.

A recent study examined the effectiveness of Hypnotic Guided Imagery (HGI) in transforming negative emotions into positive emotions among employees experiencing mental exhaustion or burnout.

The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed 127 new graduate students for the 2026/2027 Academic Year through the New Student Academic Orientation (OAMABA), which began at Hall D of the Faculty of Psychology UGM on Monday (August 10). The opening and joint orientation session was attended by students from three study programs: 48 students from the Professional Psychology Education Program, 69 students from the Master’s Program in Psychology, and 10 students from the Doctoral Program in Psychology. read more

Radhiatul Fitri, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psikolog, has earned a Doctoral degree in Psychology after graduating with cum laude honors from the Open Examination of the Doctoral Program in Psychology, Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), on Friday (August 7). Radhiatul completed her doctoral studies in three years, 10 months, and 15 days, achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.87 and an A grade in her closed examination. She became the 7,399th doctoral graduate of UGM.

Ahead of the Fourth Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through its Career Center, equipped 10 prospective Master of Psychology graduates with strategies for building meaningful and impactful careers through a graduation preparation session held on Monday, July 20. Under the theme Designing Your Next Chapter: Building a Career with Purpose and Impact, the session featured Rahmayanti, S.Psi., M.A., Founder of RIG Consulting and a UGM Master of Psychology alumna. The participants were scheduled to attend the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, July 22.
