The Psychology Consultation Unit of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UKP UGM) welcomed a visit from the Psychology and Counseling Service Center of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (PLPBK UNJ) on Thursday (October 15). The visit aimed to improve the services provided by PLPBK UNJ’s divisions. The event was attended by lecturers, unit and division heads, psychologists, administrative staff, division staff, and technical staff from both UKP UGM and PLPBK UNJ.
The Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation at the UGM Faculty of Psychology, Pradytia Putri Pertiwi, S.Psi., Ph.D., welcomed the PLPBK UNJ delegation and introduced the UKP UGM management team in attendance. Pradytia expressed her hope that the visit would provide an opportunity for both institutions to learn from each other about managing psychological consultation units.
“We hope this visit will be an opportunity for us to learn together about psychological consultation management. We are very pleased to welcome you. Previously, most visits were focused on learning about laboratory management, while this visit focuses on psychological consultation services. I believe the UKP team can also learn from you about how you manage your services,” Pradytia said.

The Head of PLPBK UNJ, Dr. Iriani Indri Hapsari, M.Psi., Psychologist, expressed her enthusiasm for learning with UKP about service development and unit management. On this occasion, she also introduced PLPBK UNJ and its management team in attendance.
“At UNJ, our university-level center is called PLPBK, the Psychology and Counseling Service Center. We have three divisions: the Career Center Division, the Counseling Division, and the Psychological Measurement and Assessment Division. While at UGM these services are generally managed separately, at UNJ we bring them together under one center,” Iriani explained.
The event continued with a presentation on UKP’s company profile by Fauzia Aulia Ramadhani, S.Psi., M.Psi., a psychologist and representative of UKP’s General Services Division. Fauzia outlined the unit’s history, vision, mission, and services, followed by a discussion and question-and-answer session.

“UKP UGM was established as a manifestation of the university’s Tridharma, encompassing education, research, and community service. UKP UGM carries out its mission of providing comprehensive psychological services,” Fauzia said.
The event concluded with a group photo and a tour of the UGM Faculty of Psychology. Participants visited UKP’s service center and several other units within the faculty.
