Sutarimah Ampuni, S.Psi., M.Si., MPsych., Psychologist is an academic and psychologist currently working at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada. (UGM). Ampuni’s academic journey began with earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (S.Psi) from UGM, with a thesis titled “The Influence of Illustrated Images on Understanding English Prose.” She then continued her professional psychology education at the same institution, completing his thesis titled “The Relationship Between Maternal Affective Expression and Children’s Social Competence.” Ampuni furthered her studies by obtaining a Master of Science (M.Si) degree in Psychology from UGM. Then, he broadened his international perspective by pursuing a Master of Psychology in Counseling Psychology at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. The peak of his education was achieved with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Psychology from La Trobe University, Australia.

 

Sutarimah Ampuni’s main area of expertise is Psychology and Cognitive Science, with a particular focus on Developmental Psychology and Aging. Her research interests focus on adolescent development, demonstrating his dedication to understanding and contributing to this critical stage of development. 

 

As a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at UGM and head of the Center for Life-Span Development (CLSD) at UGM, Sutarimah Ampuni has made significant contributions to the development of psychology in Indonesia, through teaching, research, and community service.
