Friday (15/3) LPKM (Lembaga Pengembangan Kualitas Manusia) Faculty of Psychology UGM held workshop namely SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Located in the Hall G Faculty of Psychology UGM, this workshop was attended by final year students. The workshop was running from morning until afternoon. Wulan Nur Jatmika, S.Psi and Nurul Hidayati, S.Psi were trusted to be presenters in the workshop. The enthusiasm for understanding how to translate the systematic literature is clearly reflected in the atmosphere of the workshop.
The Purpose of SLR refers to minimize and random error. This purpose can not be separated from literature reviewer necessity and ensuring systematic review. On the other side, the study might be contained biased and also “common”, the considerable number of literature reviewer who skips little thing however most important in this study. Therefore student knowledge about SLR is an important matter.
SLR workshop lone was divided into 2 sessions. the first session, more focus on the step of SLR such as planning topic decision and decision of review question. And the second phase is the implementation phase which consisted of collecting literature review, extracting and analyzing data according to the research questions. And the last phase is writing, where participants try to write articles and do not forget to specify the intended journal.
Several other things that were conveyed in the first session related to the compiling of literature to obtain reliable literature, the selection of articles must be considered. Selection of titles and abstracts is the next step that needs to be done. Then download the article in full form, so that we can read it and decide that the literature is the selected literature.
For the second session in this workshop participants were asked to implement the concept described earlier. Where all of the attended participants were asked to attempt doing systematic literature review related to topic interest. In this workshop was explained also some tips on searching literature, including ways to determine keyword and determine words as synonyms from a topic that want to be searched.
