Aliffa Milanisty, student class of 2018 Faculty of Psychology UGM is a student who can achieve 1 gold medals and 2 silver medals in competition karate Sunan Kalijaga cup 9th. This competition is national competition was held every year in December or January. At that time Aliffa enrolls the competition on 25-27 January. This competition lone involved through student start from elementary school student until a student of the college. About 800 students held this competition.
Aliffa explained that she can get 3 medals because she involves in 3 competition, which is the competition in different categorization such as individual and fighting teams and the last category are art teams and Aliffa can get out by getting medals from each category he follows.
Aliffa confesses that Karate is a part of her life. Because since in grade 2 elementary school Aliffa was interesting. Even karate bring her out as one of student psychology UGM trough achievement field. Many achievements that were obtained can make her closer to karate. Because she took Psychology as a major study, more or less giving impact on managing nervous and controlling emotion while competition.
About 4 to 5 days, 9 times set aside for practicing every week to keep stamina and endurance during karate. Include preparing next competition was followed. “Actually in UGM also has karate community, but also in UGM so different in Aliffa’s practicing place, at UGM karate is traditional karate while in Alifa’s practicing place more modern”. This difference actually was cited by functions from facilitated karate, said Aliffa. Aliffa confesses that more accentuated for competition and sport, while if at UGM more towards martial arts. The match system is different between communities at UGM and outside UGM.
Because karate is a part of Aliffa’s life. “Since a long time ago never explore so because introduced karate, but actually insist for trying basket because there is stimulus from playing if karate none play”, Aliffa said.
Aliffa has various passion to develop karate. For future Aliffa hope can keep distributing karate while studying.
At the final section, Aliffa explained the message for other youth generations, “every person has talent, the remaining way is finding their self talent. If it is your passion, just keep going. Because the process will not betray the result. Later, there will be results, so better for you to keep going”. Aliffa said.
