Oom Qomariyah, student of the Faculty of Psychology UGM as head of the scientific writing team together with 2 other students from the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Philosophy succeeded in winning the second champions of the LKTI National Student Sciences (Scientific Orientation Week) POIF XXII. The competition was organized by the Physics Student Association of Bengkulu University.
The competition started in August beginning with an abstract collection. Then in September all participants were asked to collect full papers of their respective scientific writings which were then used to select ten LKTI finalists. UGM team entered as one of the top ten finalists. The paper made by UGM team in this event is about simple intervention related to mental health.
In the final round, each team was asked to make a presentation conducted in the laboratory of the left wings of Bengkulu University. Each team was given the opportunity to make a presentation for 7 minutes followed by a question and answer session with the jury for 8 minutes. The presentation presented by the team of UGM was able to amaze the jury and drove the team UGM to win runner up.
“The opportunity to participate in the competition as a student should be better prepared as a provision of post-graduate reality. If win, it is a bonus. If not win, certainly we still get a valuable experience “said Oom.
