Towards Faculty of Psychology UGM 5.5. Explore the Idea of Psychology is the title for open house Faculty of Psychology UGM this year. Located in Selasar building D faculty of Psychology and Auditorium G 100, an open house was going rousing. This event was held on Thursday, 21 March 2019. The event was going to start at 9 am and ended at 3 pm.
Open house was a yearly event as an introduction of faculty to all students, especially students who will take the final assignment. In this Open House students are given information regarding Faculty Support Units and Scientific Field Groups (KBK).
Several Faculty Support units were introduced, such as the Center of Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP), the Psychology Tools Development Unit (UPAP), the Center of Life Span Development (CLSD), the Center of Public Mental Health (CPMH), the Mind, Brain and Behavior Laboratory, Institute for Human Quality Development (LPKM), Psychology Consultation Unit (UKP), and Learning Technology Development Unit (UPTB). While the introduction of KBK that were introduced included: Psychometric, Life Span Development, Clinical, Education, Social Relations, Mind, Brain and Performance, and Organization Development and Performance.
The agenda in the hall of building D was filled with expos from various KBK and Faculty Supporting Units. While at noon the participants were directed to listen the presentations from each KBK from the Lecturers and Faculty Supporting Units.
On presentation was explained in G-100. Student invited to get to know more about a science that are included in the KBK, then also the introduction of research that is already, is and will running. This is intended as a facility to invite students who have an interest in scientific topics from the lecturers in the KBK so that lecturers and students can work together to conduct a study. While the presentations presented by the Faculty support units are focused on providing direction and knowledge about the projects that have been carried out so far and providing opportunities for students who are interested in a particular project or internship in units and KBK in the Faculty of Psychology.
Open house Faculty always be event was prepared well and also awaited. This event got a good response very pleased from students, both new students and final year students who need ideas on research topics, so that research can be more easily done.
