In a study on organizations, it was found that an organization is a complex institution with interconnected elements, such as mission, leadership, human resources, values, strategy, goals, performance, vision, structure, systems, skills, and time management. To better understand problems within organizations, this research developed and tested a practical method through the Backbone Organizational Model (BOM).
This model, designed by Riyono (2022), is operationalized in the form of the BOM questionnaire. In this study, the questionnaire was tested for validity using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method involving 312 employees from five different companies. The results of the analysis showed that the BOM questionnaire can accurately map organizational profiles, identify unique problems in each company, and assist in designing appropriate interventions.
This study is also considered important in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly in aspects of good health and well-being, as well as decent work and economic growth.
