Tuesday (23/04), Faculty of Psychology UGM was held graduates debriefing. This event basically has been opened for non-graduates, however mostly has been dominated by candidates of graduates master. In this event, Heru Atikasari S, Murti, Psi., M.A as Alumnus Master of Psychology and also Lecturer at Kristen Satya Wacana University and Aloysia Endang S.S.S also Psychologist RSJD dr RM Soedjarwadi Klaten became a speaker. This event was attended by candidates graduates of Master Psychology and Master of Professional Psychology. About 50 graduates followed the agenda that was going start at 1 PM to 3 PM. then, prospective graduates were lead to attend in rehearsal of ceremony for tomorrow.
This event was held to give debriefing for candidate graduate for preparation themselves after finishing the master program. Both speakers also have shared their experience of working as their aim after officially graduates and get scientist title and psychologist from the Faculty of Psychology UGM.
The speaker explains that Changement day by day demands graduates have flexibility in facing that Changement. Because of the rapid Changement of technology. especially by emerging industry revolution 4.0. The thing that always has to realize when the role of cognitive flexibility will keep demanding us for adjustment. We could call this year, a year closely with us is the year 2020. Where all need complexity, the skill of problem- solving, critical thinking, and creativity. The creativity as one of dimension needing by university alumni, because creativity as a one of skill includes top three of mastered skills.
Moreover, GRE has been got in lecture basically will help for success in the working selection stage. For success in working, we supposed to focus to develop our soft skills in an obtainable cumlaude label. then character also being thing must have been ensured by candidate graduate, grit, passion, consistency, social and emotional ability.
In the last session, the speaker asks all attended do self-reflection by asking and doing reflection the plan will be done after graduate. What the character that has been had to face the challenge in the digital era. Of much plans had, indeed not always the plan for working. But at least they knew that they have many activities that will be done so that they will lead keep to make a plan after graduates.
