(16/05) Keluarga Alumni Gadjah Mada (KAGAMA) hosted a webinar via zoom meeting, called “Mental Health During COVID-19 Pandemic Outbreak”. The purpose of this session was to provide some perspective and coping strategy to deal with problems in the midst of the pandemic, which related to mental health conditions.
COVID-19 outbreak occur in almost every country around the world, including Indonesia. According to this situation, Indonesian government enact “Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar” (PSBB) policy in several province and cities, which are DKI Jakarta, Surabaya and Sidoarjo. This policy is one of the effort from government to supress direct interaction in society.
Wednesday (13/5) Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University hold online undergraduate graduation release for the first time. There are 35 graduates in this III period of 2019/2020 academic year. It is consist of 32 students from undergraduate program and 3 students from International Undergraduate Program (IUP), with total 8 male and 27 female.
(08/05) Mind, Brain and Behaviour Laboratory of Faculty of Psychology UGM holds online sharing session called Research Management via Webex, at 1.00 – 3.00 PM.
Galang Lufityanto, M.Psi, Ph.D as the head of Mind, Brain and Behavior Laboratory had the opportunity to become the speaker for this event. This event aim to inform and share research experiences between lecturers. There are 393 lecturers participating in this session.
(05/05) Public Center for Mental Health (CPMH) held the seventh online series of sharing sessions on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. The session titled “Mental Health During Pandemic“. The speakers this last CPMH session are, Prof. Dr. Kwartarini W Yuniarti, MMed.Sc., Psychologist, as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service and Cooperation; Tri Hayuning Tyas, M.A., Psychologist, as lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology UGM and clinical psychologist; Dr. Diana Setiyawati, M.HSc., Psychologist, as lecturer, psychologist, and Head of Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH) Faculty of Psychology UGM; Nurul Kusuma Hidayati, M.Psi., Psychologist, as psychologist at CPMH, UKP and Gama Medical Center (GMC) UGM; and Wirdatul Anisa, M.Psi., Psychologist, as psychologist at CPMH, UKP, and one of the private service facilities in Yogyakarta.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Faculty of Psychology UGM has continuously played a role in helping broader community through various activities that have been and will be held, such as training, seminars, psychological consultations and research related to COVID-19, which all carried out online.
(24/04) Center for Public Mental Health of Faculty of Psychology UGM held an online public lecture at 08.00-10.00 WIB. The topic is about Family Strengthening in Crisis Situation. The aim of the event is to educate the audience about family strength during this pandemic situation. Dr. John DeFrain from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA had the opportunity to become a speaker for this event.
In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University held psychologist’s oath taking and graduation ceremony for master program on April 22, 2020. It was attended by 70 graduates from Master of Psychological Science Program, Master of Professional Psychology Program and Doctor of Psychological Science Program.
