The Psychodiagnostic Instrument Development Unit (UPAP) of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), continues to provide accessible Graduate Academic Potential Test (PAPS) services for diverse participants. During the test session held on Thursday (25/6) in Room A-101, two deaf participants completed the PAPS assessment with assistance from UGM's Disability Services Unit (ULD) and service accommodations prepared by the UPAP team.

UPAP organizes this activity intending to complete the competence of students of the Faculty of Psychology UGM to process data. This is a follow-up to the material that has been taught in class. Wahyu Widhiarso, M.A, the head of UPAP said “In class, competence about data analysis is not being taught. It is more on theory and a little training to improve mastery. To specifically learn how to operate SPSS, JAMOVI, and so on, students have to look for themselves to improve their competence.”
Wahyu Widhiarso, M.A, is not only the Head of UPAP and a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology UGM, but he is an expert practitioner in the field of psychometry who is also become a speaker at this workshop and seminar. Wahyu delivered the material with the title Getting to Know the Data Analysis Program. He started his presentation with a general overview of the reasons why studying analysis software, research in the field of psychology, then continued with the introduction of SPSS software. SPSS was explained earlier by Wahyu because SPSS is the most popular software and it is easy to operate.
In the next session, the participants were accompanied by Wahyu Jati Anggoro, M.A, a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology UGM who is also an expert in the field of psychometry. He explained the operation of SPSS and JAMOVI analysis software. He explained that participants will be invited to learn more and in-depth related to the operation of the two software in the In House Training. Participants are also allowed to submit data to be analyzed at the next meeting.
GMST or Gadjah Mada Scholastic Test is a selection tool used for International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in all Faculties of Gadjah Mada University. Basically, GMST is a paper and pencil-based test and implemented directly. However, during this COVID-19 period, they will adjust paper and pencil-based to online or network based.

The event divided into four sessions, which are three material sessions followed by Q & A session.
Ariana Marastuti, M.S.W. deliver material about rules, preparation for the participants as well as the material and time frame for the test. According to her, it is important for every participants to read the procedures and rules of the test, so that the test can run smoothly. The test instructions will be delivered in English, considering the selection is intended for the IUP program. In addition, during the test, participants will be asked to connect with the committee through the Zoom Meeting software that has been installed on their respective devices, and they also have to activate WhatsApp Messenger for communicating. The committee will also apply the rules firmly and will not tolerate any form of fraud.
Furthermore, material that related to test procedures and implementation was delivered by Wahyu Jati Anggoro, S.Psi., M.A., meanwhile material regarding to test installation tools and procedures was delivered by Andreas Tri Setiawan.
During device and test installation procedures session, it was explained that the device requirements were absolute because it has been designed and adjusted for the test implementation. For example, the minimum requirement for Laptop or PC screen size is 12 inches. If the device used is not appropriate, then the exam questions on the screen will not appear properly.
Participants will be provided with installation guide by the committee, so they will independently install based on the instruction, complete with the installation program link needed for the test. Andreas said that, one day before the test, participants must ensure that the device is ready to use.
It was held on Thursday, May 28 at 10.30 AM. This event aims to answer the needs of Online PAPs Test during COVID-19 pandemic and inform about the availability of Computer Based Test (CBT) version.
The event was divided into four sessions. The first topic was general information about the PAPs test presented by Wahyu Widhiarso, S.Psi., M.A. as the Head of UPAP. Followed by registration flow information, device installation and test implementation sessions by Wahyu Jati Anggoro, S.Psi., M.A. as the Head of UPAP Tool Development.
As the test organizer, UPAP will execute and monitor the PAPs online test, with the help of SEB and Zoom Meeting apps which can be accessed via a Personal Computer (PC)/ Laptop with Windows operating system with certain requirements.
