Friday (24/9) and Saturday (25/9) the Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) held Theory Building Training (TBT). The event, which is regularly held every year, is being held again this year, even though it is in an online format because it is still during the Covid-19 pandemic. This TBT event carries the theme “From Theory to Action”.

Jumat (24/9) dan Sabtu (25/9) Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) mengadakan Theory Building Training (TBT). Acara yang rutin digelar setiap tahun ini kembali diselenggarakan tahun ini walaupun secara daring karena masih dalam masa pandemi Covid-19. Acara TBT kali ini mengusung tema “From Theory to Action”.
(6/11) Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) Faculty of Psychology UGM held online webinar at 1.00 – 3.00 PM.
The event was divided into 3 sessions. The first session was addressed about Social Perception of Covid 19 Pandemic: Continuities and Changes, delivered by Dr. Wenty Marina Minza, S.Psi., M.A., lecturer in Faculty of Psychology UGM. She conveyed about the importance of understanding social perceptions to understand the pandemic in Indonesia. In particular, the that concepts used to understand the public’s perception are how they percieved risk and their optimism. Furthermore, the session also discuss about collective culture and also the positive and negative sides of percieving the current pandemic.
Friday (25/9) the first Theory Building Training (TBT) Intermediate Level was held online by secara daring oleh Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP)
Gadjah Mada University. This TBT is CICP annual agenda. At first this activity was planned be cancelled, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, until finally decided to held the event online.
Friday (28/8), Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) held a CICP Talks with “Doing Your Research During Pandemic: The Trends and Challenges” as the topic. CICP Talks aims to disseminate research methods that can be carried out during a pandemic, both in qualitative and quantitative approaches. This activity is free and open to the public using the online platform, Zoom Meeting.
CICP (Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology) under Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University doing collaborative research about COVID-19. This research is a collaborative research with 10 universities from various countries, which are Gadjah Mada University, Universitá Giustino Fortunato, Universitá in Salerno, Federal University of Bahia, University of Tallin, University of Sydney, University of Aix-Marseille, Sigmund Ferud Privat University, University of Luxembourg, and East China Normal University.
Theory Building Training (TBT) adalah pelatihan membangun teori yang mengusung metodologi kualitatif seperti discourse analysis, meta-ethnography, ethnography, dan grounded theory yang disampaikan dengan metode pelatihan dan praktik. Pelatihan ini diadakan oleh Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) yang merupakan salah satu unit yang berada di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).
