(16/05) Keluarga Alumni Gadjah Mada (KAGAMA) hosted a webinar via zoom meeting, called “Mental Health During COVID-19 Pandemic Outbreak”. The purpose of this session was to provide some perspective and coping strategy to deal with problems in the midst of the pandemic, which related to mental health conditions.
This session was held from zoom meetings, at Saturday, May 16 2020, 14.00-16.15 WIB and free for public.
There are five speakers for this session, which are Prof. Drs. Koentjoro, MBSc.,Ph.D. as Ketua Dewan Guru Besar UGM and lecturer at Faculty of Psychology UGM; Prof. Kwartarini Wahyu Yuniarti, MMedSc., Ph.D. as lecturer at Faculty of Psychology UGM and Vice Dean Faculty of Psychology UGM in Research, Community Sevice and Cooperation; Nina Susilowati as a Founder Komunitas Langsungenak and COVID-19 Survivor; Wayang artist, Iskandar Hardjodimulyo; Yohana Domicus, and Nona Poeroe Utomo as the moderator.
Based on the information and sharing session, it is important to select the information we process, particularly during this outbreak. This selective processing related to mindfeeding. According to that, Prof. Kwartarini Wahyu Yuniarti, MMedSc., Ph.D. said “what we see and what we heard could affecting our life”.
The source of mindfeeding could come from different sources and forms. It could be text, sound or video. Controlling and selecting positive information intake to the mind, may increase body immune system. So, it is important to select our information intake, especially during COVID-19 outbreak in order to keeping up the body immune system while practicing healthy standard protocol and consuming healthy food.
