UPTB Held Second NVIVO Training Series

Unit of Learning Technology Development (UPTB) Faculty of Psychology UGM held the second NVIVO training series on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2.00 – 4.00 PM via Zoom Meeting. This event was the second series of Techno Training program that first held on last Friday, October 23, 2020.

Participants in this session mostly are students from UGM.

Ridwan Saptoto, S.Psi., Psi., M.A., one of the lecturers Faculty of Psychology UGM, had the opportunity to become the speaker at this second session.

In his presentation, he mentioned that the biggest challenge for qualitative researchers was the subjectivity (researcher-biased), validity, and reliability which were quite difficult to solve when using manual data. Furthermore, he explain more about NVIVO. It is a software that helps to manage and understand the data. NVIVO also make it easier to the identification, coding, and reviewing the data.

After explaining about NVIVO, the speaker also doing analysis simulation using the software with various data that he prepared.

The following session is discussion that guided by the moderator and it is also become the end of the training session.
