UGM Psychology Won First Place in Diponegoro University’s Psychobig ‘Cerdas Cermat’ Competition

Psychobig is a cerdas cermat competition held by the Research and Science Divison of Diponegoro University’s Student Body Organization. This is a national competition held every year. In this year, Psychobig took the theme ‘Enlight the Family with Joy’. The competition was held from October 26, 2018 to October 28, 2018 in the third floor of the Dean’s Hall in Diponegoro University’s Faculty of Psychology. UGM sent two teams as delegates: Team A, that consists of Erwin Dian Saputra, Anjuni Khofifah H., and Devita Pressa A. and also Team B, with Novia Putri, Annisa Sawu, and Nabila Puteri as its members. In this opportunity, Team A won first place. Team B also won in third place. Second place went to Universitas Indonesia’s Team A.

Fifteen teams competed in this competition. There were 5 rounds. The first round was a ‘paper and pencil’ test, the second was a ‘true/false’ round, the third was a ‘guess the clue’ round, the fourth was a ‘speak up’ round (6 teams competed in this round), and the fifth round was a case analysis round (followed by 4 teams).

“The competition in this year’s Psychobig was so tough and the atmosphere was nerve-wrecking. But alhamdulilah, we got through with it and do our best,” said Pressa. Anjuni Khofifah Hanifi added that she really did not expect winning this competition, and she even felt like giving up. When the winners were announced, she was very surprised. “I couldn’t believe that we even got to the final round and won first place. I feel so happy,” said Erwin, who also shared the same feelings of surprise. #Psychobig2018 #PeaceLoveandPositivity
