Release of Graduates and Psychologist Oath Taking Period III T.A 2021/2022

The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada held the Release of Graduates and Psychologist Oath Taking for the Academic Year 2021/2022 for the second time online and offline (20/4). Online the release and oath-taking event was broadcast through the UGM Psychology Knowledge Channel Youtube and Zoom, while the limited offline event was held in the G-100 Auditorium of the Faculty of Psychology UGM.

The next event is the process of releasing graduates. A total of 9 Masters of Psychology students offline and 2 online students with the highest GPA achieved by Gema Juwita with 3.81. Then continued with the mention of graduates who were attended by 33 students of Master of Professional Psychology offline and 1 student online with the highest GPA achieved by Moniqu’e Daniaputri Katiya Sebayang with a GPA of 3.89.

Then the event continued with the taking of the oath witnessed by the clergy guided by Dr. Maria Gorretti Adiyanti, M.Si as Chair III of HIMPSI. Followed by the process of taking the oath of office represented by Luthfiasari Sekar Fatimah as a representative of graduates with Dr. Maria Gorretti and witnessed by Rahmat Hidayat as Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UGM

Then, the event continued with the awarding of an award from the Faculty of Psychology UGM on a limited basis delivered by the Deputy Dean of Research for Community Service and Cooperation, Dr. Wenty Marina Minza, M.A. to Afira Chairunnisa as a graduate of the Masters Program in Professional Psychology with the best manuscript. Alfira took the title of the thesis “External Validation of Interpretation Guidelines for Draw A Person Tests Section on Contact Features in Individuals with Anxiety Disorders.” with Rahmat Hidayat, S.Psi, M.Sc, Ph.D as supervisor.

Then, the award for the best manuscript from the Psychology Masters Program was won by Sumayku Amanda Nisia Wulan with the title Social Comparison as a Mediator of the Relationship between the Intensity of Instagram Social Media Use and Body Image in Emerging Adulthood Women. Ira Paramastri, M.Si, Psychologist.

The graduation ceremony was filled with remarks from several parties, such as remarks from representatives of graduates delivered by Moniqu’e Daniaputri Katiya Sebayang who expressed her gratitude to all parties both internal and external so that this stage could be achieved. A welcome was also given by Dr. Maria Goretti Adiyanti M.Si as the representative of HIMPSI who was also the guide for the Psychologist Oath Taking during this period. “The rapidly changing environment and the large number of cases have increased the need for competent and ethical behaviorists from both a curative and preventive perspective by promoting prevention and fostering community mental health, well-being and resilience. We are not only here to treat but we must instill a new mentality to always have the fighting power and independence that is grown from an early age both at home and at school”, Maria’s message to the graduates.

A speech was also given by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UGM, “Your happiness is our happiness. Hopefully what has been obtained in the lecture bench can be useful for the local community. That even though your achievements are inscribed on the GPA, the real achievements will later be seen after you are together with the community by applying what you have learned. Hopefully you can maintain the good name of ugm and hopefully you can really provide great benefits to the community from all the things you have learned. We ask for your help for research study data, because your success is good news for all of us,” explained Galang.
