International Guest Lecture Series 4: Adjusting The Load- Teaching and Learning Across Context for All

Friday (30/10) Faculty of Psychology UGM held the fourth International Guest Lecture Series online. The event was organized by Office of Cooperation, International Affairs and Alumni (OCIA) Faculty of Psychology UGM and raised a topic titled Adjusting The Load – Teaching and Learning Across Context for All.

Prof. David Evans, Professor of Special and Inclusive Education, University of Sydney had the opportunity to become the speaker for this session.

Moderated by Elga Andriana, S.Psi, M.Ed, Ph.D, the event was opened and continued with a presentation session.

This lecture series aim to understand the direction and boundaries between the learning process, learning disabilities and the environment. According to David, if someone has a basic knowledge that suit with the demands of the learning environment, they will find it easier in learning process. However, if there is a gaps between prior competencies and demands of the learning environment, there is a high probability of experiencing disability during the learning process.

After the presentation by the speaker, the event was closed with a discussion session that guided by the moderator.
