Center for Lifespan and Development (CLSD) Faculty of Psychology UGM holds their first online class via Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 1.00 – 3.30 PM.
The class was attended by 135 participants from undergraduate to doctoral students. They raised a topic called Getting to Know the Different Types of Developmental Research Methods and Current Research Topics. At first, this online training was aimed to give better understanding to research intern or research assistant in CLSD, but due to the online execution, the scoop was extended all students from all degree in Faculty of Psychology.
During this session, Dr. Arum Febriani, S.Psi., M.A. had the opportunity to become the speaker. She is a lecturer in Faculty of Psychology and also the Head of CLSD. The material focused on the methods of implementation in developmental psychology research, which are longitudial, cross-sectional and sequential. She also conveyed the fundamental differences of each method of implementation along with examples of the researches. Furthermore, in conducting research, it is important to collaborate with other fields of psychology and non-psychology, in order to reveal the phenomena from various perspectives.
