COVID-19 pandemic is a problem that have been face by many countries, including Indonesia. Every country are forced to adapt with the new condition. Society must face uncertain condition, they have to stay at home and limit their direct social activities in order to maintain mutual safety and reduce the risk of spreading the virus until the situation getting better. The limitations of the movements and uncertainties in daily life are some factors that could leads to discomfort.

CICP (Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology) under Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University doing collaborative research about COVID-19. This research is a collaborative research with 10 universities from various countries, which are Gadjah Mada University, Universitá Giustino Fortunato, Universitá in Salerno, Federal University of Bahia, University of Tallin, University of Sydney, University of Aix-Marseille, Sigmund Ferud Privat University, University of Luxembourg, and East China Normal University.
Central for Public Mental Health (CPMH) will hold online sharing session with Family Strength In Order to Face COVID-19 Pandemic as the main topic. It will be hold on April 16, 2020 from 19.30-21.30 WIB by using WhatsApp Messenger. This sharing session is aimed to be one of the platform to share about mental health during COVID-19 pandemic. Anyone who feel like to share or express their feelings are open to join this event. The event are free and anyone are able to participate or join, from students to general public. Dr. Budi Andayani, M.A., Psikololog, Dr. Sumaryono, M.Si., Dr. Diana Setyawati, M.HSc., Psikolog, Nurul Kusuma Hidayati, M.Psi., Psikolog, dan Wirdatul Anisa, M.Psi., Psikolog are the discussants for the session.
Unit of Counseling Psychology (UKP) is one of the unit under Faculty of Psychology that have a role in providing counseling or psychological services to society. During COVID-19 pandemic, UKP contributing in giving free counseling for public with Online Psychological Consultation Program.
Monday (13/4/20). TPM-Psi UGM running the agenda that approved by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology. After financial help for student who needs support, logistic packages launched in order to ease the burden of psychology students who decided to stay in Jogjakarta or students with limited financial condition.
Faculty of Psychology’s concern to the students who affected by COVID-19 is quite profound. In addition to Phone Credit Program that given to Psychology UGM students, the Dean of Faculty of Psycholgy UGM formed Student Care Team – Faculty of Psychology UGM (TPM-Psi UGM). TPM-Psi UGM team consist of lecturer, educational staff, unity of student’s parent (POTMAPSI), Dharma Wanita Psychology UGM and Psychology Student Institution (LM Psi). They promptly determine several steps such as fundraising from various sources, mapping out student’s problems, evaluating and executing funding support based on the problems in order to overcome it. The role of LM Psi in helping the process analysing and evaluating students and family problem which affected by COVID-19 considered to be an a remarkable form of participation.
Learning Technology Development Unit (UPTB) organized first techno training event during this year. The first session of this training series was about videography skill. The event held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at G-201 Faculty of Psychology during 09.00-11.00 AM. It was attended with undergraduate and master students. Shidqi Irbah, S.Psi have the opportunity to become the speaker of this event once again.
(13/02) Master of Psychology Program Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University held the second workshop about Regression Analysis. This workshop is the continuation from the previous Regression workshop on February 28, 2020. However, the objective of this event was to focus on Regression Analysis and Mediator Variable.
Students from Faculty of Psychology Gadjah University held an event called PAS AKRAB 2019 on Friday, February 28, 2020 started at 16.30-22.00 WIB at Faculty of Psychology Park. PAS AKRAB is an annual event that organized by undergraduate students in order to establish the solidarity within the peers and cross the undergraduate classes. The title of the event called “SOLASTALGIA” which bring the nostalgic theme performance.
Master of Psychology program held a workshop about Regression Analysis using Moderator Variable. The event held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 09.00-11.00 AM. It was taking place at Visual Learning Center Room at Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University. The speaker of this event was Haidar Buldan Thontowi, S.Psi., M.A. He’s also a lecturer at Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University. The event was attended by Faculty of Psychology students from various level, from Undergraduate, Master and Doctorate.
