Friday (7/8), the Center for Lifespan Development (CLSD) or the Center for the Study of Human Development Faculty of Psychology UGM held the CLSD Online Class session 2. After the previous session that discussed Various Types of Developmental Research Methods and Recent Research Topics, in this session, participants were invited to getting to know more about a qualitative approach in developmental psychology research. The topic chosen for this session was “Getting to Know Qualitative Approaches in Developmental Research” presented by Edilburga Wulan Saptandari, M.Psi., Ph.D, Psychologist, Lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology UGM.

Determining career path after graduation sometimes require deep consideration and needs a lot of process to go through as well. According to this, Saturday, August 8, 2020, OCIA or Office of Cooperation, International Affairs and Alumni Faculty of Psychology UGM held the first online event called Pengen Ngobrol, which basically intended for students and fresh graduates.
Center for Lifespan and Development (CLSD) Faculty of Psychology UGM holds their first online class via Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 1.00 – 3.30 PM.
The class was attended by 135 participants from undergraduate to doctoral students. They raised a topic called Getting to Know the Different Types of Developmental Research Methods and Current Research Topics. At first, this online training was aimed to give better understanding to research intern or research assistant in CLSD, but due to the online execution, the scoop was extended all students from all degree in Faculty of Psychology.
Professional Psychologist Alumni Association once again held online sharing session on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 1.00 – 3.30 PM. The theme that brought up at the session was The Role of Educational Psychologist in Various Areas.
(30/7) Anxiety and depression are some of the topic in psychology that has various age range of subject, from teenager to adult.
This topic also become dissertation topic by Metta Rahmadiana, M.Si., Ph.D (cand), lecturer from Faculty of Psychology UGM and Ph.D candidate from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She share the topic on this biweekly coloquioum (KDM) that held by Promovendus Club (PC) from Doctor of Psychological Science Program. The session was attended by Rahmat Hidayat, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Head of Doctor of Psychological Science Program and the other 90 participants via Zoom Meeting.
Doctor of Psychological Science Program Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University held student selection for 2020/2021 academic year.
The selection is different from previous periods. The selection was held online, adapting to COVID-19 condition. In prior selection stages, there are administrative and file selection according to the DPP and Study Program provisions, scientific writing tests and interviews. This period, still uses the same flow, however the scientific writing selection was implemented online using the google form and for selection and interviews stages were carried out using the Zoom Meeting.
(30/7) Human Resource Quality Improvement Institute (UPKM) of Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada, once again organize Seminar Series: Post COVID Quality of Work Life. The event was held via Zoom Meeting at 10.00 – 11.30 PM, and also available for live stream in UPKM Psikologi UGM Youtube channel.
Master of Professional Psychology Program Faculty of Psychology UGM held selection for new student admissions for the 2020/2021 academic year.
Unlike the previous selection period, this year the selection was held online, adapting to the current pandemic conditions that require minimal direct contact.
Thursday (23/7), Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University held discussion forum between Faculty and students, that raised a topic about campus live and students. This event attended by student representatives and Student Activity Unit (BKM) in Faculty of Psychology UGM.
COVID-19 pandemic forces us to make changes and adjustments to many aspects of our daily lives, such as Work From Home (WFH) or Learning from Home or Belajar dari Rumah (BDR) activities.
Adjustments to the current situation are also made in the admission process for new students, including the Master of Psychological Science Program UGM. The selection that was previously carried out in directly, now transformed to online methods, but substance are still the same.
