Friday (28/5) Faculty of Psychology UGM held the “Fun Talk: Virtual Open House 2021”. This event is an introduction to the Master of Professional Psychology and Masters of Psychology programs to the general public through the media who are brave in welcoming new student admissions in 2021.
The event was divided into two sessions, the first session was held at 08.45 WIB until 11.00 WIB. While the second session was held at 13.00 WIB until 15.15 WIB.
Fun Talk Event: Virtual Open House was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UGM, Prof. Dr. Faturochman M.A. In his briefing, Faturochman emphasized the interrelationship and equal importance between the Master of Professional Psychology and Masters of Psychology (Science) study programs for the future development of psychology.
The first session of the event was filled with an introduction to the lecture programs in the Master of Professional Psychology (Mapro) and Masters of Psychology (Mapsi) study programs at the Faculty of Psychology which were delivered directly by each head of the study program (Kaprodi).
At the first opportunity Dr. Sumaryono, M.Si. as the Head of the Master of Professional Psychology Study Program (Mapro) provides information about the lecture process at the Master of Professional Psychology. Through his brief presentation, Sumaryono explained about the important aspects that became the basic concepts in learning to the activities carried out by Master of Professional Psychology students during the learning period.
On the second occasion Dr. Arum Febriani, M.A. as the Head of the Psychology Masters Study Program gave a presentation about lectures at the Psychology Masters (Mapsi). In her brief presentation, Arum explained starting from the main objectives of Mapsi, the specializations that Mapsi students can choose during their studies, to the opening of opportunities for students from outside the psychology department to register as MAPSI students through one semester of matriculation/pre-graduate programs.
The first session was closed by a presentation delivered by each field coordinator (corbid) at the Mapro Study Program. Sequentially, the Coordinator for the Clinical Headquarters, Idei Kurnia Swasti, S.Psi., M.Psi., The Corbid for the Head of Education, Haryanta, S.Psi., Psi., M.A. and PIO Mapro Coordinator Taufiq Achmad Dwi Putro, S.Psi., M.Psi. provide a more in-depth explanation of the fields in the mapro study program.
In the second session of the Virtual Open House, it was continued by having fun chatting with alumni from Mapsi and Mapro. In the study program mapro represented by Zara Mendoza, M.Psi., Psikolog, Dila Dama Atprinka, M.Psi., Psikolog, and Neliana Puspita Sari, M.Psi., Psikolog. Meanwhile, from Mapsi, Guntur Cahyo Utomo, M.A. and Fakhirah Inayaturrobbani, M.A. They share their joys and experiences both when they are still in college as well as their experience and implementation of knowledge in the world of work.
The event ran smoothly and interactively from the beginning to the end of the event. The event closed with a fun conversation with active students from Mapsi and Mapro from various generations.
