On October 24, 2018, Gadjah Mada University’s Faculty of Psychology successfully held the graduation and professional oath ceremony for students graduating from the postgraduate program. There were 17 psychologists graduating from the Professional Psychology Master’s Program, with 3 male students and 14 female students. There were 24 students graduating from the Master’s in Psychology Program, with 5 male students and 19 students. Up until now,2.721 students have graduated from the postgraduate program in Gadjah Mada University’s Faculty of Psychology.
In the Professional Psychology Masters Program, the highest obtained grade point average was 3.85, obtained by Septa Waspada Hariyono Putra, who not only graduated cum laude with the highest GPA, but also graduated with the shortest study period of only 2 years and 1 month. There were 15 graduates who were cited as very satisfactory and one graduate cited as satisfactory. Dinda Permatasari Harahap also graduated with the same study period of Septa, which is 2 years and 1 month.
Moving on to the Scientific Psychology Masters Program, the highest grade point average of 3.81 was obtained by Meilina Wirohati, who like Septa, graduated cum laude and fastest in her class, with a 1 year 7 month and 10 days study period. Another student, Putra Wiramuda, also graduated cum laude. There were 16 graduates cited most satisfactory and 6 graduates cited as satisfactory.
The Faculty of Psychology gave awards to Siti Hajar Sri Hidayati and Dinda Permatasari Harahap as the graduates with the best thesis publication manuscript. Siti’s thesis is titled “Problem focused coping, social support, and posttraumatic growth of survivors of Banda Aceh’s earthquake and tusnami”, advised and supervised by Dr. Muhana Sofiati Utami, M.S. Dinda’s thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Wisjnu Martani, S.U. is titled “Rumah rumah Literasi (The House as Home for Literacy) – Training Program to improve Literacy Stimulation Skill in Parent”.
