UGM Forms a Call Center Service as Psychosocial Support for Academics

COVID-19 pandemic is a problem that have been face by many countries, including Indonesia. Every country are forced to adapt with the new condition. Society must face uncertain condition, they have to stay at home and limit their direct social activities in order to maintain mutual safety and reduce the risk of spreading the virus until the situation getting better. The limitations of the movements and uncertainties in daily life are some factors that could leads to discomfort.

According to the current condition, Health Promoting University UGM team collaborated with Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH) and Unit of Counseling Psychology (UKP) Faculty of Psychology Gadjah Mada University forms Call Center Service for academic as psychosocial support for academics. Academic are students, lecturers, educators, laboratory assistant in study center etc in Gadjah Mada University.

This service operated since Sunday, April 6, 2020. The Call Center Service will be the form of services that could help Academic Community Members of UGM who experience anxiety, fear which related to the current condition and the service will be providing psychological support in order to help them live their life and maintain the productivity.
