Faculty of Psychology wins 1st place in SINATION event

Saturday (7/9), Renesa Balqis and Siti Afifa Choirunissah, two students of the Faculty of Psychology UGM participated in the SINATION (Business Plan Competition) event. This event is a business event competition titled Take Your Chances in Innovation and Creativity for Industrial Revolution 4.0. The competition is organized by the Student Association of Socio-economic agriculture/agribusiness (HIMASETA) Faculty of Agribusiness University of Jember, in order to welcome the role of young entrepreneurs in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.

The selections in this race consisted of two stages. The first phase of the selection is the collection of business proposals to determine the 10 major finalists and the second stage is an open presentation and an expo consisting of various product booths per finalists.

Under the guidance of Ardian Praptomojati, S. Psi., M. Psi., Psychologist, a business idea hosted by Renesa and Afifa is Fysi Watch in the form of solar-powered watches that are made of corn and sugar cane pulp. Fysi Watch strives to be a pioneer of eco-lifestyle products and seeks to empower manpower in order to prepare demographic bonuses and compete in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution. “As a pioneer, we see the opportunity to use the environment especially the skin of corn and sugar cane, because even with small steps, it still gives meaning and participates in the empowerment of sustainable environment”, said Afifa.

With the idea, the team of Psychology UGM managed to pass to the next stage, which is open presentation and Expo. “In the second stage we were asked to prepare presentation materials, posters, brochures, prototypes, and decoration booths for the Expo” said Renesa. At the end of the second stage, winners of this competition were announced. The Fysi Watch team won the 1st place, adding another list of successful students to make achievements in the national race.
