The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, has once again received positive news from the international grant arena. Elga Andriana, S.Psi., M.Ed., Ph.D one of the faculty members, has been selected as a recipient of the Australian Alumni Grant 2025. This grant is a prestigious recognition awarded to Australian alumni who are considered to have significant potential to contribute to the development of education, collaboration, and community empowerment.

With the support of this grant, Elga will participate in a mobility program at the University of Sydney, Australia, to study co-design in inclusive learning together with students with intellectual disabilities from Indonesia. This program will involve partners from the University of Sydney and will be implemented in 2025 in collaboration with the Centre for Life-Span Development (CLSD). The main objective of this program is to apply co-design principles with individuals with disabilities in designing more inclusive learning environments within the Faculty of Psychology UGM.

The Australian Alumni Grants, along with the Allison Sudradjat and Hadi Soesastro Prizes, are a tangible form of Australia’s commitment to supporting capacity building, innovation, and collaboration between Australia and Indonesia. These programs not only provide professional development opportunities for alumni but also encourage the creation of sustainable positive impacts in education and society.

The Faculty of Psychology UGM congratulates Elga Andriana, S.Psi., M.Ed., Ph.D on this achievement. The experience and knowledge gained are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of more inclusive higher education, both at the faculty and national levels.
