(23/08) Faculty of Psychology UGM has facilitated several courses to introduce lectures in the Faculty of Psychology UGM to various students at different levels. One of these courses is the International Undergraduate Program (IUP). As one of the undergraduate study programs at the Faculty of Psychology UGM, admission of new students at IUP is also similar to the acceptance of regular new students, which is done once every year.
Categorized literacy into one of the three major components of the education world. Along with the realization of the importance of literacy especially for generations of the nation’s successors, elements of community builders have been proactive in propagating the matter, but the campus is an institution of higher education that has a major role in improving literacy programs.
As an effort to realize the closeness of the proximity between students and alumni of the Psychology of UGM, 1979, while sharing about psychology graduates in the workforce, Faculty of Psychology UGM held the Alumni Sharing Class of 1979 by raising the theme “Because of Psychology Matters”. Taking place at G 100, the event lasted from 14.00 to 16.00.
Michael Robert Alvianto Tanoso, a student of the Faculty of Psychology UGM 2018, managed to boast of a proud achievement of the international level match “The 14th University of Technology Mara International Sports Fiesta” 2019, organized by University of Technology Mara in Selangor, Malaysia. Michael and the team of tennis field UGM managed to win the runner-up in teams category.
The Faculty of Psychology of Gadjah Mada University graduated 82 scholars at the graduation period of IV academic year 2018/2019. The number of male graduates is 16 and females as many as 66 people. The release of the graduates held at Auditorium G-100, Gadjah Mada University after the ceremonial procession of graduation at Graha Sabha Pramana UGM (22/08/19).
Wednesday (21/8), the student activity Unit of HMP (Graduate Student Association) UGM conducts social action in the form of blood donor activities located in the building of Gedung D Faculty of Psychology UGM. By involving members of HMP UGM graduate students who come from various faculties at UGM, this activity got a good welcome from various circles at the Faculty of Psychology UGM, such as students and faculty staff. This is evidenced by the crowding Human Faculty of Psychology to enroll in blood donation activities.
Early August is the month of PPSMB implementation (successful learner training for new students). PPSMB itself is an official activity of campus orientation and introduction for new students. Previously, the new students called Gamada were brought to know more about the campus of UGM. Furthermore, Gamada is asked to know more closely about their respective faculties, which is none other than where they will be studying over the next few years. The Faculty of Psychology is no exception as one of the faculties of the socio-humanities.
Saturday (3/8), Faculty of Psychology at Gadjah Mada University along with POTMAPSI (the Parents Association of the Faculty of Psychology University of Gadjah Mada) organized the parents ‘ meeting of new students 2019/2020. This meeting is a routine agenda held every new school year by the Faculty of Psychology UGM as a means of introducing the faculty to the parents of new students.
Stress among students is increasingly symptomatic in recent years. A study shows that the academic field becomes a primary source of stress on students. Of the 4 students, one student experiencing high academic stress.
Math subjects are still considered difficult lessons. Therefore, it is necessary to be able to learn the right learning strategies so that many students are easier to understand this subject.
Berliana Henu Cahyani, S. Psi., M. Psi, a lecturer at Faculty of Psychology, Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, Yogyakarta, argues that one of the strategies that students can implement in learning mathematics is through regulatory-based learning. With this strategy, he said, students will direct themselves to achieve learning objectives by actively participating in cognitive and behavioral motivation.
