On 9-10 March 2019, Eva Rahman and Rahmayanti, 2 Mapres (Mahasiswa Berprestasi) from Faculty of Psychology UGM attain achievement as “Best Speaker” for Eva Rahman and “Best Presenter” for Rahmayanti. Both of them are student Psychology UGM grade 2016.
On this Mapres, Faculty was confessed support many things, although actually they never expectation will be won. This feeling was confessed because they felt not too be completely confident since hand over portfolio enter number of achievements. However, both of them still feel excellent in other fields.
The other supports were showed by faculty such as practicing in English, interview, preparing of portfolio and presentation. “ for training presentation need many more meetings, we utilize, for presentation while were practicing and we followed up”, Eva said.
There are some of the topics provided in this event. On category “best speaker”, Eva Rahman chose AI (Artificial Intelligence) threated humanity. The reason for the topic chosen because Eva saw a video about AI and that thing was considered interesting. For an explanation about this topic is given about 3 minutes.
While for categorization “Best Presenter” achieved by Rahmayanti presentation in 10 minutes. Experience for grabbing “Best Presenter” such as managing among slides will show with delivering the presentation, furthermore while presentation about topic “suicide” there are some the technical obstacle happened. However, this matter can be handled well. Other experiences that can be shared in the presentation section for managing relaxation and regulating emotion when were targeted some questions. So, for keeping confident in idea delivering. Literature study become methods in delivering presentation otherwise research when following PKM also become matter really helps in preparing the content of the presentation.
Many impressions that got through involving, “first of all more learning, learn by meeting new one who has more talent than me, rarely we found great people. Student can only give comment on the step that you was doing for society. There is 1 topic of the excellent conversation. Moreover, we are trained mentally, there is mental breakdown but by learning, Psychology helps me and because of that, I get new knowledge. we knew that they are great people, so we have no choice unless to learn more, Rahmayanti said.
