Master of Professional Psychology Held Student Selection for 2020/2021 Academic Year

Master of Professional Psychology Program Faculty of Psychology UGM held selection for new student admissions for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Unlike the previous selection period, this year the selection was held online, adapting to the current pandemic conditions that require minimal direct contact.

The total number of people who interested for UGM Professional Psychology Masters Study Program continues to increase every year, including this academic year, regardless of pandemic conditions. There were 398 consecutive study program enthusiasts from the 2017/2018 academic year, 428 for the 2018/2019 academic year, 492 for the 2019/2020 academic year and 574 for the 2020/2021 academic year.

The current registration flow still similar, the difference lies in the selection of basic professional tests and interviews. Previously, tests which included written examinations, case-solving exams, FGDs and interviews were conducted and attended by prospective students at the UGM Faculty of Psychology. Meanwhile, in this period writing examinations, case resolution exams, self-projection entries and interviews were conducted online.

The basic professional and magister tests was held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 through the Zoom Meeting application. Followed by a parallel interview session that divided into 2 sessions, which are on July 23, 2020 and July 24, 2020.

Prior to the implementation of the selection exam, the study program will collect the specializations chosen by each participant via email and or WhatsApp Messenger. The specializations include interests in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, and Industrial & Organizational Psychology.
