In order to celebrate the 56th anniversary of Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta which will be commemorated on January 8, 2021, a book titled “Jejak Delapan Tiga: The Life Journey of alumni of Psychology UGM” was published by Abisheka Publisher Dipantara Yogyakarta.

Gadgets have become a part of our life nowadays, especially in COVID-19 pandemic era. The limitation of direct interaction and communication, indirectly make technological devices such as smart phones, tablets and laptop become a necessity for us to work, attending school’s classes or just communicate.
Thursday (19/11) Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH) Faculty of Psychology UGM becoming one of the guest speaker on an online international mental health advocacy program initiated by Sally Spencer Thomas from New York. This event called “Why We Need a Global Mental Health Revolution Now !: Transformative Changes at The Intersection of Mental Health and Social Justice”. Diana Setiyawati, M.HSc.Psy., Ph.D., the head of CPMH had the opportunity to become the guest speaker at this event along with other mental health experts, including Sarah Gaer, Eduardo Vega, Ysabel Garcia and representatives from Youth Mental Health Canada.
Wednesday (25/11) Faculty of Psycholgy Gadjah Mada University once again held online graduation ceremony for undergraduate, Period I 2020/2021 Academic Year. This event was attended by 52 graduates that consist of 46 students from undergraduate psychology program and 6 students from international undergraduate program. They are attending the graduation ceremony accompanied by their parents.
The current pandemic condition has a direct impact on the way people communicate, including the communication carried out in the counseling process and psychological therapy in Indonesia. According to the condition, Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH) Faculty of Psychology UGM held webinar titled Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Basic for Online Counseling on Friday, November 20, 2020.
Promovendus Club (PC) from Doctor of Psychology Program once again held online Two-Week Colloquium (KDM) on Friday, November 20, 2020.
Ciptasari Prabawanti Ph.D, who currently a Rector of Cokroaminoto University Yogyakarta and is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at Ahmad Dahlan University, had the opportunity to become the guest speaker at the KDM.
Faculty of Psychology UGM held the seventh International Guest Lecture Series on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1.30 – 3.00 PM online via Zoom Meeting. The event was attended by 95 participants. They are mostly students followed by lecturers and general public.
(13/11) Faculty of Psychology UGM organized sixth International Guest Lecture Series that raised a topic about Hallucination on Demand: Using Lab-Induced Hallucinations and Illusions to Study Visual Hallucinations.
Friday (6/11), fifth episode of International Guest Lecture Series (IGLS) was held and inviting Xie Huichao, Ph.D, lecturer at the National Institute of Education Singapore as the speaker. There are total of 51 who join this event online.
(7/11) The role of psychological science in technological field now becoming broader. It contribute in the tech industry or generally better known as start-up. The tech industry is a business sector that utilizes technology and information and produces digital products to digital services. According to this phenomenon, Pengen Ngobrol Episode 6 raised topic about Human Centered-Approach in Tech Industry.
