Recent Developments in Industrial & Organizational Psychology Research

The UGM Psychology Doctoral Program with the Organizational Change and Development Expertise Group (KBK) for 3 days (7-9 / 4) days held an Intensive Course on “Recent Developments in Industrial & Organizational Psychology Research”. This event was opened by Dr. Nida Ul Hasanat, M.Si as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UGM for Academic and Student Affairs. The Secret of Motivating Students: Psychological Perspectives

Saturday (27/3) Kapsigama in collaboration with OCIA (Office of Cooperation, International Affairs, and Alumni) of the Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University and the Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University held an event entitled Psychologists to Enter School “Secret Motivating Students: Psychological Perspectives”. This event reviews how to motivate students in learning based on educational psychology theories. read more

Online Lecture: Toxic Positivity and Mental Health

The online lecture held by the Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH), Faculty of Psychology was held again on Friday (26/3). For the discussion of online lectures this time accompanied by Nurul Kusuma Hidayati, M.Psi., Psychologist and Wirdatul Anisa, M.Psi., Psychologists as speakers who discussed “Toxic Positivity” and Mental Health. This event was opened by a resource person who invited the participants to write their opinions about toxic positivity. Several participants revealed that toxic positivity is related to excessive positive thinking that becomes toxic to us. Then the other participants considered toxic positivity a bad action, but with good delivery and many more participant opinions regarding toxic positivity. read more

Latest Developments in Psychometric Research

The UGM Psychology Doctoral Program for five days (22-26 / 03) held an Intensive Course “Latest Developments in Psychometric Research”. The event which was attended by 89 participants was opened by Rahmat Hidayat, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D as the Head of the Psychological Science Doctoral Study Program. Through his remarks, Rahmat said that the presence of participants from various educational and institutional backgrounds is expected to generate an exchange of thoughts, inspiration, insights and knowledge. read more

Tuesday (23/3) Office of Cooperatian, International Affairs, and Alumni (OCIA) Faculty of Psychology UGM held a guest lecture with the topic “Ethical Issues in Group Counseling”. The event, which was attended by 150 participants, took place from 07.30 WIB to 09.10 WIB. This event is a series of International Guest Lecture Series events held by OCIA this year. read more
