The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, through the Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH), continues its humanitarian support for communities affected by flash floods in Aceh. Following the delivery process and coordination with local partners, assistance in the form of dignity kits and other essential items has been received and directly distributed to residents in several affected areas in North Aceh.
The aid distribution took place on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, through Yayasan Geutanyoe Aceh to five affected gampong (villages or village-level administrative units), namely:

This aid distribution is part of the Faculty of Psychology UGM’s commitment to being present and accompanying communities in disaster-affected areas. Beyond supporting the fulfillment of specific basic needs—particularly those related to hygiene and the dignity of survivors—CPMH UGM’s programs are also directed toward strengthening psychosocial recovery through collaboration with local volunteers and partner networks in Aceh.
Going forward, CPMH UGM will continue its recovery efforts through evidence-based approaches, including strengthening volunteer capacity and cross-agency coordination, to ensure that psychosocial support can be sustained over the long term.
