Communicating using the internet network is becoming the main choice in this current pandemic. The use of social media and applications such as Zoom Meeting and Google Meeting are some of available option in completing basic tasks related to communication, such as work or online classes for students. Besides, social media like Instagram, Tinder and Twitter also becoming the choice to express emotions, thoughts or even making friends with someone.
According to the condition, Promovendus Club (PC) from Doctor of Psychology Program once again held a Two-Week Colloquium (KDM) with a topic about Cyber Reality: Theoretical and Methodological Challenges on Friday, September 25, 2020. Dr. Rakhman Ardi, M.Psych, lecturer at Airlangga University, Surabaya, had the opportunity become the speaker in this session.
The event was attended by 135 participants from varied background.
The Session begin with opening speech from Rahmat Hidayat, S.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D.,Head of Doctor of Psychological Science Program.
In his presentation, Dr. Rakhman Ardi, M.Psych deliver the relevance of psychological theory in explaining cyber phenomenon, methodological challenges and ethical challenges in conducting cyber-related research that related to big data. He also mentioned, how simple function in device affecting human behavior.
After the presentation, the event continued with discussion session that guided by the moderator. On this occasion, Dr. Avin Fadilla Helmi, M.Sc., lecturer at Faculty of Psychology UGM also attended and discussed further about this topic with the speaker.
