As a continuation of the family membership training activity of a theatre (KRST) held annually, then held a staged study (Stupen) titled “Spinach”. The staging was held on Friday (03/05) night and the organizers invited various students at the Faculty of Psychology UGM to attend the watch.
Puti Indah Julito student of semester 4 Psychology UGM is one of the students who are active in the management of KRST where he served as artistic manager. While in stage studies, he gained trust as a production leader. He tells the story that enthusiasm and enjoy is an atmosphere that can be felt during the staging. Although it was recognized by Puti that there was also some confusion felt by the audience during the witnessing, this could be missed during a joint discussion session about this staging.
At the theater, this time, “spinach” is taken as the title. Spinach is a constant object that existed during staging and became a constant theme that brought the storyline to its own staging. Spinach Vegetable is chosen because spinach is one of the vegetables that is often purchased by people in vegetable vendors, “explained Puti Indah Julito when he explained the reason behind the title of” spinach”.
Further, Puti recounted that the stage study featured the story of a vegetable artisan who was involved in a family problem from one of his regular customers. Through this theater, he hopes that he and his friends can convey the message that the moral is not black and not white, but is very complex in understanding and implementation in daily life. In the world no one is really good or really evil, it explains anyway that there is no perfect percentage of right or wrong.
One of the limitations experienced is in terms of facilities and infrastructures to be difficult in particular during theatre. About 33 students are involved in this staging process. While for the preparation has begun for 5 weeks before the day of staging, and more intensive 3 weeks ahead of the staging.
Puti also tells that a unique experience that is felt during preparation and staging certainly exists. Preparation is a time when the commitment and sense of having the stage be tested for each individual, the challenge is to align the training schedule and the activities of the lectures and daily life for this stage preparation. Even the organizers also worked extra to think about the displacement of the execution site, because the place that had previously been split in the G-100 finally changed about 5 days before staging. The Committee is given the news that the room cannot be used on the H-day because it will be renovated finally, the organizers decided to use the building F cafeteria as a venue for the rescue stage to keep the stage can be done.
