Doctor of Psychological Sciences Programme to Foster Psychological Issues in The Perspective of Mind, Brain, and Behavior

(06/09) Doctoral Program of Psychological Sciences UGM held a public lecture that was accompanied by a new student supply of semester of the school year 2019/2020. In this time-supply session, the theme was raised about “improving the competitiveness of Psychology research (Mind, Brain, and Behavior perspective)”. Dr. Rizki Edmi Edison, Ph.D. appeared as a speaker in the event, he is the head of the center of Neuroscience of Muhammadiyah University Prof. Dr. HAMKA.

Housed in the Visual space Learning Center building G Lt 3, the event took place from 07.30 to 11.30. Not only a new student of the Doctor of Psychology program, but also present alumni of undergraduate programs, and students of Magister Psychology UGM.

Dr. Rizki Edmi Edison, Ph.D., who is also a neuroscience expert in providing information on the role of neuroscience and Psychology as a beautiful combination of science. Not forgetting also at the beginning of the discussion he shared many stories that inspired all participants in attendance, what he shared not in spite of his struggle when he started to become a medical student who then took him to a doctorate degree in neuroscience.

As an expert, the man who manages to snatch his doctorate in Japan gives lectures around the human brain and its function in influencing human behavior. He also said that human behavior can also be a role in the opposite that can affect human brain structures.

As a practitioner as well as academics, Dr. Rizki Edmi Edison, Ph.D has been in the world of research. He even told us that much major research funded by the country came from the results of his research with his colleagues. Therefore, it invites many questions about the research it does. The lecture sessions closed with discussions from the participants as well as the Faculty of Psychology lecturers who were also invited to the event.
