The Promovendus Club for the Doctoral Program in Psychology UGM again held a colloquium which is routine every two weeks on Friday (4/6). This colloquium activity raised the topic “Academic Integrity of Indonesian Lecturers: Facts, Measurements, and Optimization Efforts” which was delivered by Dr. Prasetyo Budi Widodo, S.Psi., M.Sc. Prasetyo is an alumni of the UGM Psychology Doctoral Program who is a lecturer at Diponegoro University.
On Friday (28/5) the Promovendus Club of the UGM Psychology Doctoral Program again held an event with the topic “Cognitive Process Dynamics in Solving Math Story Problems”. The topic was presented by Dr. Nani Restati Siregar, S.Psi., M.Si who is a lecturer at Halu Oleo University, as well as an alumni of the UGM Psychology Doctoral Program. This event is part of a colloquium which is regularly held every two weeks by the Promovendus Club online.
Thursday (27/05), the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada held an event for the Release of Graduates of the Psychology S1 Study Program Period III of the 2020/2021 Academic Year, which consisted of 65 people. This period was attended by 53 people from the Regular class and 12 people from the International Class/International Undergraduate Program (IUP).
UGM Psychology Doctoral Program held a Virtual Open House on Thursday and Saturday (6/5 & 8/5). The event can be followed through a zoom link distributed by the committee to participants who have registered or can be followed through the UGM Psychology Faculty Knowledge Channel YouTube channel. This event was held to introduce the Psychology Doctoral Program to the general public by raising the tagline Nurturing, Enabling, and Enriching Doctorate Program. Through this tagline, it is hoped that when someone has joined the extended family of the UGM Psychology Doctoral Program, they can guide, empower, and enrich each other’s knowledge.
Faculty of Psychology UGM on Friday (7/5) held a Friday Morning Study Webinar with the topic “Amazed by Quran: How to Make It the Map of Our Life”. This event is the fourth event that has been held as a routine activity every Friday during the month of Ramadan. This time, the event was filled by Ustadz Dr. Muntaha bin Artalim Zaim which starts at 08.00 WIB.
The Faculty of Psychology UGM through the Mind, Brain and Behavior Laboratory conducted a knowledge sharing session on Friday (30/4) which was delivered by Galang Lufityanto, M.Psi., Ph.D. This sharing session discussed the results of research with the topic “How Lack of Sleep Affects Students’ Cognitive Function”. This research is a research conducted during a pandemic and is part of the practicum agenda for Cognitive Psychology and Biopsychology I courses. This study involved 400 online participants with an experimental method.
Together with the Developmental Psychology Expertise Group, the Psychology Doctoral Program held an intensive course program “Recent Developments in Developmental Psychology Research” which lasted 3 days (28-30/4). Starting with a keynote speech from Dr. Maria Goretti Adiyanti with the topic “Understanding Life Span Development and the Significance of Developmental Research in Various Contexts” on the first day and ended by Pradyta Putri Pertiwi, Ph.D & Aaron Opdyke, Ph.D., CPEng., PE, NER as a speaker on the topic “Inclusion and Role of People with Dissabilities and Older Person in Disaster and Humanitarian Response”. Through this topic, Aaron explained how physical and psychosocial needs intersect, what the psychological impact is, what if there is a role played by the built environment, and how to understand the relationship between physical and psychosocial needs in reducing disaster risk.
Faculty of Psychology UGM on Friday (30/4) held a Friday Morning Study Webinar with the topic “Ramadan and the Spirit in History: Improving Work Ethics and Productivity”. This event is a routine activity held by the Faculty of Psychology UGM during the month of Ramadan on Friday. This event was preceded by the reading of the divine kalam and continued with a speech by Dr. Yuli Fajar Susetyo, M.Sc., a psychologist as the deputy dean of finance, assets and human resources. Through his remarks, Yuli hopes that this event can foster the enthusiasm of children today who tend to prefer fun things to be more struggling.
Monday (26/4) the Center for Public Mental Health (CPMH) Faculty of Psychology held an Online Lecture with the topic Digital Parenting which was filled by Nurul Kusuma Hidayati, M.Psi., Psychologist and Wirdatul Anisa, M.Psi., Psychologist. “Actually, this is a continuation of the previous online lecture which discussed children, the internet, and gadgets. For now, we try to raise about digital,”explained Wirdatul at the beginning of the event.
Promovendus Club, Doctoral Program in Psychology held an event with the topic “Understanding and Diagnosing Children with Dyslexia” on Friday (16/4). The event which takes place at 09.00 WIB is part of the colloquium which is routinely held every 2 weeks by the Promovendus Club online.
