Besides her busy work on academic assignments and lecture activities, Aliffa is now preparing herself to take part in the PON (National Sports Week) in Papua in October 2021 as a contingent member of Central Java Province.

When asked about the very intensive training activities as a Karate athlete whether it disturbed her academics, this Wonogiri native 2000 student answered lightly that it did not interfere with her studies. She is used to dividing his time between training as an athlete and studying academically.

“Maybe because I was a habit since I was little, from elementary, junior high, high school to college I had a habit so I didn’t feel like it. Maybe it’s more like you have to know which priorities are so, which is important first. Sometimes something has to be sacrificed. But if we manage it well, it can work both ways,”Aliffa explained.

Regarding her success in becoming the second runner-up of Mapres (Student Achievement) this year, Aliffa has gone through several stages, from faculty to university level selection. From November to December on 2020 she participated in the selection at the faculty level. He prepared several files for a portfolio of achievements and also compiled creative ideas for presentation. He managed to become one of two students who qualified for the next round at the university level. Among 33 students representing each faculty, Aliffa made it into the top five.

When asked if she aspires to become a professional athlete or pursue a career in academia for the future, this fan of musician Anne-Marie did not confirm only one goal. He is very open to the various possibilities that will happen in the future.

“If I were an athlete, maybe I just did it. But if my dream is maybe I want to be a lecturer, ”said Aliffa.

Being a student with a busy schedule while still achieving achievements both in the academic and non-academic fields, of course, requires a combination of hard work and creative ways of doing it in order to stay synergistic. Aliffa also advised other student friends to always be open to new experiences in college.

“The message is not to be afraid to try (new things). Then, what do you do, during that time positive activities are carried out,” said Aliffa.

Furthermore, Aliffa also advised to always take advantage of the opportunities that exist during college. When the opportunity comes, it must be used as well as possible because the opportunity may not come twice. Taking advantage of opportunities and being dynamic in them will greatly open up the possibility for students to discover their hidden talents.
