Dr. Nida Ul Hasanat, M.Si., Psychologist, is a leading expert in the field of Clinical Psychology in Indonesia. Dr. Nida earned her Doctorate (Dr) from the Doctoral Program in Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, in 2015 after successfully researching “Self-Management of Diabetes: A Quantitative Analysis of Psychosocial Factors in Type II Diabetes Mellitus Patients.” Prior to that, Dr. Nida completed her Master of Science (M.Si) program with a major in Clinical Psychology at the Graduate School of UGM in 1996. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Dra) from the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada in 1988, after completing her secondary education at SMA 3 Yogyakarta in 1981.

Restu Tri Handoyo, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., Psychologist, is a prominent clinical psychologist, particularly in relation to intellectual and developmental disabilities. Restu earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree from the Division of Psychiatry, University College London. Previously, he obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology (M.Psi) and a Psychologist degree from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada. His early education began at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. (S.Psi). Restu’s expertise is focused on clinical psychology, with a strong research interest in intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities. He is also actively involved in research related to stigma and social inclusion, as well as the development of screening and diagnostic tools.
Dr. Satwika Rahapsari, S.Psi, M.A., has completed her doctoral education at the Department of Psychology, University of Sheffield, England. Satwika researches the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on neurocognitive development, especially cognitive control, and individual mental health.
Previously, Satwika completed her undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, she continued her education at the Creative Arts Therapies Department, Drexel University in Philadelphia, United States, and received a Master of Arts degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling.
In terms of counseling and psychotherapy, Satwika has research interests with a focus on creative arts therapy. As a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT), Satwika is highly dedicated to developing innovative therapy methods, which combine movement and art to support her clients' mental well-being. Apart from that, Satwika also researches the benefits and links of traditional arts, such as Bedhaya Dance, as a means of art therapy.
Satwika also has research interests in the fields of clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience. His expertise includes neuroimaging, especially electroencephalography (EEG) and experimental psychology. Apart from that, Satwika also masters systematic-review, meta-analysis and structural equation modeling research methods.
In the field of teaching, the courses she has taught include Biopsychology, Cognitive Psychology, Mental Disorders, and Art Psychology.
Dr. Tri Hayuning Tyas, S.Psi., M.A., Psikolog, is an academic and practitioner in the field of psychology. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). After completing her undergraduate studies, Tri Hayuning Tyas pursued further education at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She then completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2025. Her main research interests focus on issues such as mental illness, caregiving, help-seeking behavior, and the stigma associated with mental disorders.
Adelia Khrisna Putri, S.Psi., M.Sc. is an academic and researcher in the field of Clinical Psychology and Social Relations. Adel is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Melbourne, specializing in Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Science. Previously, she completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2014, and then continued her master’s studies at University College London, England, earning an M.Sc. in Clinical Mental Health Sciences in 2016. Adelia’s research interests focus on the areas of clinical psychology and mental health, particularly depression, grief from suicide, and mental health policy, as well as social psychology with an emphasis on indigenous psychology and emotions.
The Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology (CICP) of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, participated in the u’GOOD Inaugural Conference titled “Thriving Together: Youth, Relational Wellbeing and the Future of the Global South,” held from October 7–9, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This inaugural conference served as the official launch of u’GOOD research projects across 9 Global South countries and marked the initial meeting of a Community of Practice (CoP) aimed at strengthening cross-national and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Aisha Sekar Lazuardini Rachmanie, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psikolog is a professional in the field of Clinical Psychology. She completed his Bachelor of Psychology (S1) education at the Faculty of Psychology, Gadjah Mada University with the thesis title The Role of Friendship Quality on Stress Levels with Loneliness Mediator, then continued her Masters in Professional Psychology (S2) at the same institution with the thesis title Validation of the Mindful Self-Compassion-based Module online to increase Flourishing in Adolescent Girls. Her Psychologist degree shows that Aisha has met the professional qualifications to practice psychology in Indonesia.
Aliyaturrahmah Supriyadi, S.Psi., MHS. is a psychology professional who continues to contribute actively to the academic and research community. Aliya is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at King’s College London, focusing her research on health psychology.
She previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), with a thesis titled “Validation of a Basic Counseling Skills Training Module to Improve the Self-Efficacy of Adolescent Peer Counselors.” She later completed her Master’s degree at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, conducting a study titled “Association between Adolescents’ Perceived School Support and Depressive Symptoms in Three Indonesian Cities (An Analysis Based on the Global Early Adolescents Survey Data).”
Throughout her academic journey, Aliyaturrahmah has developed various research projects aimed at improving the quality of mental health in Indonesia. Her commitment to this field is reflected in her active involvement in seminars, training programs, and scholarly publications that delve deeply into issues of psychology and mental well-being.
The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with TVRI Yogyakarta, once again presents OPSI: Obrolan Psikologi (Psychology Talk) with its fifteenth episode, airing on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 3:00–4:00 PM WIB. This episode raises the theme “Fight Overthinking, Stay Sane, and Keep Work on Track!”. The discussion focuses on overthinking that often arises in the workplace due to excessive demands, pressure, and expectations. The episode explores how overthinking can affect mental health and daily work performance. It also discusses ways to manage overthinking in order to remain mentally healthy and productive at work.
Ariana Marastuti, S.Psi., MSW, is an academic and dedicated professional in the fields of clinical psychology and social relations. As a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) since 2010, Ariana not only teaches but is also actively involved in various research and community service focused on mental health, mental health literacy, community health workers, and gender and mental health.
